Member News | Stewardship Capital’s Greg Finke Raises over $4,000 for the Independence School District Foundation

Honored for being selected as one of the top 40 under Forty by KC Connections, Greg Finke, Vice President of Stewardship Capital, took the opportunity to challenge his community to help raise funds for his charity of choice, the Independence School District Foundation. He received the award November 3, 2011, when voting results were announced at a gathering honoring the outstanding professional and philanthropy achievements of the 40 Kansas City area participants. Among the others recognized, were runner-up, 610 KCSP radio broadcaster, Nick Wright, Chiefs players, Leonard Pope and Dwayne Bowe, and several other young prominent professionals.

 Brief biographies of each participant were posted on KC Connections’ website for 40 Under Forty along with their chosen charity. Voters selected the candidate they wanted to be the top 40 Under Forty title winner by pledging funds to that candidate’s charity of choice.

 Greg rallied support from the community, campaigning his desire to help the Independence School District Foundation raise the most during voting. In total, Greg raised $4,005 in donations for his charity of choice. A check was presented to the Foundation by KC Connections. Independence School District Foundation promotes volunteerism and assists students, families, faculty and staff by providing grants, scholarships and need-based funding to the Independence School District community.
