Eligibility and Dues:

To participate as an Ambassador, a person must have been an active Independence Chamber of Commerce member for one year.

Annual dues are $25.00 - to be used for Ambassador Events.

Requirements:

All Chamber Ambassadors should plan to:

  • Mingle at chamber events and make others feel welcome.
  • Attend Ribbon Cuttings, Grand Openings and Groundbreakings
  • Attend Before Hours and After Hours.
  • Attend monthly luncheons.
  • Attend Chamber special events.
  • Make contact/thank you calls on existing members.
  • Deliver new member packets and welcome them to the Chamber.
  • Remind Chamber members of door prize and drawing marketing opportunities.
  • Sign at least one new member per year

Ambassador Opportunities:

Monthly Luncheons:

Chamber luncheons are the 3rd Wednesday of each month (Apr.-Jan.) The Ambassadors serve as table hosts, greet members, and assist with introductions especially for our new members. This group invites new members or prospective members to attend.

Ribbon Cuttings, Grand Openings and Groundbreakings:

The Ambassadors will host these events, serve as emcees, and greet those in attendance. Participation offers excellent opportunities to meet new business owners and to take part in celebrations.

Business Before Hours and Business After Hours:

The Ambassadors serve as hosts, emcees, and greet attendees upon arrival introducing them to others at the event.

New Member Packet Delivery:

Ambassadors call on new members to welcome them and present them with their packet and membership plaque. Invite them to activities, share your Chamber experience, hand new members your card so you can be a contact and resource for them.

New Member Orientations/Events:

Ambassadors will plan and host events to help introduce the new member to chamber resources and/or existing members.

Existing Member Contact:

An Ambassador calls on chamber members thanking them for their support, participation and to serve as a liaison for the Chamber staff. These calls are opportunities to share Chamber information, build personal relationships, and open doors for your business.

Special Events:

Santa-Cali-Gon, The Annual Banquet (with over 600 attendees)- The Business and Technology EXPO (with over 1000 attendees)- The Annual Golf outing, the Halloween parade and other stand alone events. Ambassadors serve as support for these events as needed. These events offer contact with large numbers of Chamber members and other community leaders.

Community Relations:

As an Ambassador, your name will be added the chamber VIP list for invitations a variety of business and community events. Other opportunities may arise when others seek assistance with community events or activities.

Introducing Others To The Chamber:

You will have the opportunity to use your involvement to make non-members aware of the valuable asset membership in this highly successful business organization can be to their company and their community.
